Bowl Recap

I'm late, but I still feel obliged to air out my dissapointment with this past month's BCS Championship outcomes. The beating the Trojans of Southern Cal gave to the Wolverines on New Years got me off to a promising start. The pick which worried me most, would occur about 4 hours later in the Fiesta Bowl between Boise State and Oklahoma. By far, one of the greatest games I have ever witnessed. Because of fatigue, I will not go into further details of the game even though I'm sure a lot of you already know the outcome. Here's a video for the oblivious.

As for the Orange Bowl, I can care less what happened. Just as long as my team won. (Which they did) So far, 3-0 baby. 8-0 for the last two years. Boy did I feel cocky. You'd figure, with the projected number one pick going into the NFL Draft, and the most recent Heisman trophy winner calling the shots in an important game that you're pretty much in good hands. To my dissapointment, not only did these two letdowns lose. They went out like little bitches. Brady Quinn of Notre Dame (the projected #1 pick) was ripped a new one by LSU 41-14, completing just 15-of-35 for 148 yards, and throwing for two touchdowns, which were later offset by two interceptions. Real Busch league right there. Thanks Brady, for screwing me over a second time.

Now for Mr. Smith and the Buckeyes. Not only did you guys lose to a team that struggled with South Carolina, they were ripped a new one courtesy of a Terrance Howard lookalike. (With his helmet on at least) I don't mind the decrease in Troy Smith's draft stock. I can care less about him. But when you hurt Teddy Ginn Jr.'s in the process, then you and I are going to have a problem...
